The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) secretary-general Wilson Sossion has got a huge reprieve in the battle to remain in office.
The Employment and Labour Relations Court Justice Hellen Wasilwa ruled the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in which Sossion was ousted ignored a court order stopping Sossion’s removal.
Justice Wasilwa on September 2 barred removal of Sossion until his case is heard and determined.
A faction at KNUT led by his deputy Hesbon Otieno has been fighting to lock out Sossion who has played down the differences with his colleagues only accusing Teachers Service Commission for his woes
