Battle-hardened Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion can sleep easy after the Employment and Labour Relations Court put him off the hook – allowing him to also hold the position of nominated Member of Parliament.
Giving the sigh of relief to the embattled union fighting multi-directional wars – from within and without KNUT, Lady Justice Maureen Onyango said she does not find any conflict between the KNUT and MP position that Mr Sosson – a nominated ODM Party MP holds.
It is not clear whether Mr Sossion’s colleagues in KNUT led by his deputy Hesbon Otieno will allow him to access his offices.
