Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers Friday evening arrested Pyrethrum Board of Kenya managing director Paul Lolwerikoi.
In March last year, EACC raided Mr Lolwerikoi’s residence and the PBK headquarters in Nakuru town, confiscating documents suspected to be related to corrupt activities at the firm.
Then, the EACC detectives also raided homes belonging to the marketing director and an accountant.
Sources say Mr Lorikwei is wanted over flouted procurement rules, illegal leasing of the company’s assets and controversial tenders. Other issues could revolve around illegal deals and mismanagement of public funds especially revenue collected on behalf of the company by the three officers.
It is likely that Mr Lorikwei will be arraigned in Court on Monday even as a press release from the Director of Public Prosecutions is expected over the weekend
