ARSENAL are finally ready to ditch Mesut Ozil by sending him out on loan – and will even pay for him to leave the club.
The German playmaker, 30, is currently earning £350,000-a-week at the Emirates, despite barely playing.
The Gunners are now considering offloading him in January and will contribute to his monster wages, much like Manchester United with Alexis Sanchez .
United are thought to be paying £425,000 of the Chilean’s £505,00-a-week wages while he is at Inter Milan.
Unai Emery has rarely used Ozil during his time at the Emirates. And the former Real Madrid star has started just one game in the Premier League this season – playing 71 minutes of the 2-2 draw with Watford.
Following that outing, Emery insisted he needed a rest and he’s yet to be seen on the pitch since. Ozil’s season was put on hold before it had even begun – after he and team-mate Sead Kolasinac were targeted by knife-wielding car jackers in the summer.
Bosnian defender Kolasinac heroically fought off the knife-wielding attackers with his bare hands .
The 92-cap former Germany international moved quickly to beef up security at his home , but continues to seem unsettled at Arsenal.
Emery had appeared set on flogging Ozil over the summer – either permanently or on loan.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce expressed interest in taking the midfielder, but couldn’t come close to affording his outrageous wage demands.
