An unidentified foreigner working at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and having been involved in a racist altercation at a shopping mall in Nairobi has been sent packing and swiftly asked to leave the country.
The man has been accused of insulting guards Nairobi’s Lavington Mall.
The ICRC official is said to have, Sunday, called one of the guards a monkey after she insisted he pays for parking and parks his vehicle off the passageway to allow other shoppers to leave.
ICRC confirmed termination of the man’s contract stating that he acted out of the expected line of decorum.
Kenyans on Twitter acted angrily. Some said that it was not enough to sack and deport him. He should have been arrested and charge for racism, they urged.
