Former Bungoma mayor Simiyu Matibila, who was a Ford Kenya official, has perished in a grisly road accident next to his home at Ndengelwa, Bungoma county.
The news of his passing was announced by Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula who has since been thrown to deep morning just days after the passing Kabuchai MP Mukwe.
Wetangula mourned the former Ford Kenya official in a tweet as a loyal and trusted Ford Kenya official who’ll be missed. He further called for a check on road carnage during this festive period to curb the loss of lives.
“Its shocking to learn of the death of former Bungoma mayor HW Simiyu Matibila in a horrific accident next to his home at Ndengelwa. Road carnage must be checked during this festive period. He was a loyal/trusted Fk official who’ll be missed. RIP brother” he wrote.
Messages of condolences trickled in with some saying that the late politician was a man that would help people whenever they needed him.
