The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has assured Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) consumers of a seamless transition on new year’s day as the new regulations come into full force.
Speaking at the event, EPRA director of petroleum and gas Edward Kinyua said that the new regulations come with insurance and requirement of revalidation. He said that EPRA will from next week announce the recall of unbranded containers in the market for destruction.
EPRA director for consumer protection and enforcement Cyprian Nyakundi said that the Authority shall firmly deal with any operators contravening the law.
They were speaking at the 27th edition of the Consumer Federation of Kenya (COFEK) consumer dialogue forum aimed at enhancing awareness on LPG regulations.
