Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has confirmed that Kenya has confirmed seven patients with Covid-19 as at Wednesday morning.
He added that two of the new cases were a couple that travelled from Madrid, Spain, on March 4 through Dubai and having landed in Kenya on March 5.
The other case is of a Burundi national who traveled from Dubai, UAE and arrived in Kenya on March 17.
All the 7 cases in Kenya emanate from inbound citizens or foreign nationals meaning Kenya could easily contain the virus if all the entry points can successfully test and isolate suspected cases of coronavirus.
Economic pain has already started biting for a country that is on the verge of total lockdown with most government offices either shut or operating on a very lean establishment
