The KCSE candidates claim they informed the school’s administration on Saturday morning, but no action was taken.
“It is that grievance that led to today’s incident (protests),” says the police report.
Lugulu Girls’ High School Principal, Dina Cheruiyot, on Monday night December 7 filed a report at the Webuye Police Station that the girls “were screaming and making a lot of noise while demanding to be addressed by the Ministry of Education officials in Bungoma County”.
School Principal Dina Cheruiyot said learning would resume once investigations into concerns raised by learner were concluded. The headteacher noted that no damages were caused during the protests as students stormed out of school.
